Roses lend themselves to interpretation. As it happens, they also lend themselves to portrayal in solar art. The first flower I made in 1996 was a rose that I gave to my mom on Valentine's Day. I have continued to make roses and the design has advanced quite a bit in these last 20 years. I've hosted a Valentine's Day show every year (well, almost every year) where I introduce the latest rose evolution, and these shows have proven to be a good launching point for ideas, technology, and techniques that I am adopting as I continue to develop the form.
