glasswork
The flowers and fruit are made out of borosilicate glass that is melted and shaped in front of a flame - this is called lampworking. I try to use the glass to shape and display the light in a very specific way - the glass is the optic in the system, and its purpose is to reflect, diffract (bend), and diffuse the light from the LEDs. Flowers are soft, and so the light from the petals should be soft mixes of color. Peas and berries look better with some sparkle, but not so much that the sparkles become glare spots. Light from different colors benefits from incomplete mixing, where multiple color tones appear fading into each other.
